POWER: Sweden Lowers Demand Increase Forecast for Västra Götaland

Svenska kraftnät has reduced the power demand increase forecast for the Västra Götaland region to 1.2GW by 2035, compared with 2.5GW previously, it said.
- Demand Västra Götaland and Gothenburg is expected to increase due to large industrial firms and the clean power transition.
- Demand increase expectations have been lowered due to delayed plans from the industry and connecting parties.
- Svenska kraftnät states that they can now meet most of the projected power demand through 2035, both in capacity and timing.
