EURIBOR OPTIONS: Put Spread Buyer

Whiite House confirms that President Joe Biden will hold a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shortly at 1045ET (1545BST, 1645CET).

• White House says Biden will commit the US' "continued support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression,"
• Comes as Russian shelling of the cities of Kyiv and Chernihiv is reported to be continuing, despite claims yesterday from Russia's deputy defence minister that the military action would be reduced in these cities following progress in peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.

Speaking to the House of Commons Liaison Committee (livestream here) Prime Minister Boris Johnson states that the UK gov't is "looking to go up a gear in support for Ukrainians as they defende themselves."

• Johnson: "The question is can we help the Ukrainians relieve Mariupol. Would armour, would APCs, be useful to them?"'
• Johnson says sanctions on Russia should be increased until all Russian troops have left Ukraine.
• Johnson says he would not lift sanctions if there is a ceasefire. Says it plays "straight into Putin's playbook", calls "every single one of his troops out of Ukraine"
