- The "prices-only" measure for August is currently estimated at 6.0%, a 0.1 percentage point decrease from the current estimate for the previous month.
- The twelve-month change in the August CPI was +8.3%, a 0.2 percentage point decrease from the previous month.
- For August 2022, trend CPI inflation is estimated to be in the 4.5% to 6.0% range, a slightly wider range than July, with a 0.2% decrease on its lower bound and a 0.1% decrease on its upper bound.
