China's RatingDog manufacturing PMI came in at 52.1 in February, up from January's 50.3, marking the strongest rate in over five years, the publisher said on Wednesday.

The production sub-index reached its highest level since June 2024. The new orders sub-index also accelerated, with external demand performing strongly and driving new export orders to grow at their most pronounced pace since September 2020.

RatingDog PMI mainly tracks SME manufacturers. The official PMI released on the same day, which typically covers large state-owned companies, registered 49.0 in February, down from January's 49.3 reading.
