China’s youth unemployment rate for 16-to-24 year old urban workers was 17.3% in October, an improvement from 17.7% in September and August's year-high 18.9%, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Tuesday.
The rate for 30-to-59 year old urban workers was 7.2%, unchanged month-on-month. In October, the overall national urban survey unemployment rate was 5.1%, down 0.1 percentage points from the previous month, data from the bureau released last week showed.
