The key data release this week is Tuesday’s Q4 RBNZ survey of expectations which includes 1- and 2-year inflation expectations as well as the perception of monetary conditions. Q3 1-year inflation was 2.37% and 2-year 2.28%, stable compared to Q2. The MPC will be watching to ensure that the pickup in Q3 inflation hasn’t resulted in higher inflation expectations.
