General Motors (GM): 3Q25 Results

• Total revenues were $48.6b better than BBG consensus of $45.18b
• Deliveries of 1.6m units were up by 100k YOY. US EV surge in Q3 helped but also China showed YOY growth. Was #1 in total US unit sales during Q3.
• Adj EBIT was $3.4b and Adj EBIT mgn was 6.9%, though that’s down from last year’s 8.4%. Tariffs and higher warranty were to blame. GMF EBIT up slightly YOY at $800m ($350m div to GM parent)
• Adj auto cash free cash flow was $4.2b, down by $1.6b YOY.
• Net Income of $2.7b was better than consensus of $2.218b
• Adj EPS of $2.80/sh was ahead of consensus of $2.27/sh
• Liquidity steady at $35.7b and total auto debt up slightly at $16.1b. Repurchased $1.5b ($3.5b YTD) in stock with $2.8b left on authorization plan.
• For FY’25, lowered tariff impact by $500m so now impact “only” $3.5-4.0bn). Also cutting EV capex/losses and warranty expense. 2026 positioned to do better than 2025.
• Guidance raised: $12.0-13.0b Adj EBIT (was $10.0-12.5b), $10.0-11.0b Adj Auto FCF (was $7.5-10.0B), Capex now $10-11b and $9.75-10.50/sh Adj EPS (was $8.25-10.00/sh).

The FOMC's assessments of risks to its updated forecasts in September tilted a little more pessimistic on growth and unemployment than in the previous edition in June, in keeping with concerns expressed in the Statement about rising risks to the labor market.
