• The Ecuador Minister of Government Zaida Rovira said that the government seeks to end the protest against the cut in fuel subsidies by tomorrow and has sent 1,000 military and police personnel to the main protest region, according to El Universo.
• ECUA 35s rose 2 points today and have traded in a narrow range throughout the protests as people seem to be optimistic that the govt will be successful in pushing the fuel subsidy reform.
• Also likely helping a bit is the support the U.S. is giving to Argentina as it shows the intent to support other market friendly regimes in the region such as El Salvador.
• In today’s press conference after the Milei-Trump meeting at the White House, the U.S. government referred positively to the forthcoming presidential election in Bolivia where for the first time in over 20 years there will likely be a pro-reform candidate that gets elected.

Aussie 3-yr futures are trading off recent lows. A resumption of gains from here would further narrow the gap with resistance at 96.730, the Sep 17 ‘24 high, leaving 96.860 as the next key level. Any continuation lower would instead strengthen a bearish threat. This would refocus attention on 95.760, the 14 Nov ‘24 low. Conversely, a reversal higher would open 96.860, the Apr 7 high.
