POWER: EBRD Mobilises Financing for 531MW Solar PV in Romania

EBRD has arranged financing of €192mn for the construction of three solar PV plants with a combined capacity of 531MW in south-eastern Romania, it said this week.
- The Slobozia, Corbii Mari and Iepuresti II solar power plants are located in the Dâmbovița and Giurgiu counties.
- The Slobozia project will benefit from a 15-year CfD, awarded in Romania’s tender. The energy sold from the other two projects will be sold on the day-ahead market.
- The bank will provide €64mn for the projects and has mobilised €128mn from commercial lenders.
- Romania targets to cover 38% of the gross final energy consumption with renewables by 2030.
