There are only a few dissenters within the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, he said after a special meeting of the parliamentary group."
- It follows earlier reporting that "there are likely to be several dissenters among the Green Party's ranks. According to participants, a test vote in the Green Party's parliamentary group resulted in one abstention and one undecided vote. A small single-digit number of members of parliament were sick."
- That helped quantify potential scope for dissent after stories on potential dissent earlier.
- Bund futures have slowly moved off earlier highs, at 127.84 off highs of 128.05 but still some 62 ticks higher on the day ahead of a strong day for EGBs.

US: White House And State Dept Presser Underway Shortly

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and State Department Press Spokesperson Tammy Bruce are both due to deliver press conferences shortly. First up, Leavitt will brief in a few moments - LIVESTREAM Bruce will face reporters at State in around an hour - LIVESTREAM
- Both pressers are likely to be dominated by questions over Trump's invocation of wartime powers to deport alleged Venezuelan gang members to a supermax prison in El Salvador.
- Leavitt is also likely to field questions on foreign policy, with Trump slated to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday as the White House accelerates its efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
- Both are likely to discuss Trump's recent military action against the Iran-back Houthi rebels in Yemen. The strikes, which are likely to be the first of many, come as the Trump administration pursues a two-prolonged approach towards reining in Iran’s regional influence and preventing Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. Alongside military force, the White House is also sounding out a fresh round of nuclear talks although Iran has ruled out the possibility, citing Trump’s first-term withdrawal from the 2015 JCPOA nuclear accord.
- Bruce is likely to provide an update on Secretary of State Marco Rubio's recent trip to Canada to attend a G7 foreign ministers' meeting.
