ADNOC and OMV JV in polyolefins
OMV and ADNOC combining their polyolefins business (Borealis and Borouge) under a new JV Borouge Group International. At the same time the new JV is acquiring Nova Chemicals for USD9.377bn which is owned by Mudabala Investment company. The new JV is expected to have 13.6mtpa capacity and fourth largest polyolefin producer. The new entity is to be equally owned by OMV and ADNOC with a small free float. OMV will inject EUR1.608bn and the remainder will be financed via a bridge facility which will be refinanced later.
