The office of the French Defence Minister has announced a sharp increase in French military force posture in Eastern Europe.
- The announcement comes in the wake of a G7 leaders meeting attended by French President Emmanuel Macron.
- The increased posture includes: Additional armoured vehicles and tanks in Romania, additional Rafal fighter jets in Lithuania, and additional infantry troops in Estonia.
- Yesterday, following Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, Macron told Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky, "that France would be ready to help in terms of further military support."
