The Bank of Japan (BOJ) is Japan's central bank. The BOJ Policy Board holds its Monetary Policy Meetings (MPMs) eight times a year. Each meeting is held over two consecutive days. Policy decisions are typically announced on the afternoon of the second day, followed shortly by a press conference held by the BOJ Governor to explain the decision.
