The current scale is basically the same as end-2025, as the high valuation “bubble” in some sectors has been eliminated, indicating a basic completion of deleveraging of A-shares, the newspaper said citing analysts.

High-frequency data points to steady economic operation in July, with offline consumption recovering and infrastructure investment improving marginally, China Securities Journal reported. The total amount of various consumer payments in July increased by 2.2% year-on-year, 0.8 percentage points higher than the previous month, with that for household appliances increasing significantly by 8.5%, 10.9 pp higher than in June. The continued improvement in asphalt plant operating rates and positive year-on-year growth in cement shipment rates in July indicate that infrastructure investment in transportation may be marginally improving, the newspaper said.

A total of 32 A-share companies have listed in Hong Kong as of Aug 16 this year, raising HKD229.05 billion, with both the number of listings and the amount of funds raised having exceeded that for 2025, Securities Daily reported. More than 70% of the companies are from the industrial and information technology sectors, with fundraising concentrated on optical modules, consumer electronics, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing. All 32 companies introduced cornerstone investors when they listed in Hong Kong, attracting international long-term funds from Europe, America, and the Middle East, the newspaper said.
