Workers at ExxonMobil’s Fawley refinery have begun a two-week strike action over pay increases, while operations will be unaffected, according to the BBC.
- ''Operations at Fawley are unaffected and we do not anticipate any impact on fuel supplies to customers", an ExxonMobil spokesperson said.
- Around 100 workers at the refinery have begun strike action, after the GMB union had hoped for a last-minute deal.
- The union says it has also issued notice of a further two weeks of action to follow.
- Fawley is one of the largest refineries in the UK and processes 270ktbp of oil.
