The Vietnamese government has granted Hai Linh with a license to import and export LNG, the second company and first private film in the nation able to trade LNG, Platts said.

• PetroVietnam Gas received the first license in 2023.
• Hai Linh announced the targeted startup date for the Cai Mep LNG terminal of Sep. 2024.
• The market was expecting a tender from Hai Linh after it issued an expression of interest in May for a commissioning LNG cargo. However, no tender has been issued to date, sources said.
