Valero’s Memphis refinery, Tennessee, plans to shut its only FCC within the next two weeks according to a Bloomberg source because of emergency repairs.
- The 70kbd FCC has struggled to run this week, causing the refinery to reduce overall runs.
- It is expected to take until mid-December to repair or possibly longer according to the source.
- The FCC last underwent a turnaround in spring 2019, during which rates on the 2 crude units were shut 25-30% Bloomberg said.
