Unipec bought one VLCC each of North Sea Johan Sverdrup and US Mars crude for May arrival, according to Bloomberg.

  • Bloomberg said that Johan Sverdrup is currently less expensive than some other North Sea grades.
  • Johan Sverdrup was being traded at a discount of around $2/b vs Dated Brent on a FOB basis. This compares to a premium of $2.2/b for Forties.
  • Earlier in Feb, Unipec also purchased a VLCC cargo of CPC blend crude for May delivery with transportation via the Cape of Good Hope, Bloomberg added.
