Turkey’s Botas has renewed its long-term contract to receive LNG from Algeria’s Sonatrach for three years until 2027, although with reduced quantities according to Argus Media.

  • The agreement runs from 1 October 2024 until 2027, with deliveries to Turkey to step down to 4.4bn m³/yr of pipeline-equivalent gas (3.4mn t/yr) from 5.4bn m³/yr currently.
  • Sonatrach delivered 4.4bn m³/yr to Botas until October 2018, when a new deal for 5.4bn m³/yr took force.
