Shell is halfway through planned maintenance at its Pernis Rotterdam refinery according to a post on X.

  • “In addition to inspecting, repairing and cleaning, there is also replacement. A new 440 tonne reactor vessel was recently successfully lifted into place.” It added.
  • A new reactor was to be installed in the FCC at Pernis this year according to Bloomberg sources.
  • WoodMac alerted on the FCC halting around Feb 8 – no other units have been taken offline since.
