Motiva’s Port Arthur refinery, Texas, was forced to shut an FCC and cut rates on other units on Wednesday after losing power at two steam generators a Bloomberg source said.

  • The flaring at the largest US refinery included an FCC, a delayed coker and an alkylation unit. It started at 11am local time on Wednesday and was ongoing Thursday.
