The Reserve Bank of Australia has appointed Andrew Hauser, former executive director, markets at the Bank of England, deputy governor.
Hauser replaces Luci Ellis who left earlier in the year to join Westpac as its chief economist. He joined the BoE in 1992 and has held senior roles across the bank.
Hauser's appointment follows Governor Michele Bullock’s elevation to lead the bank in September. The Government is also expected to table legislation this week to further reform the RBA.
