• The Hungarian Central Bank has confirmed that Zsolt Kuti has been appointed as Chief Economist at the central bank.

  • Kuti is already a director at the MNB, making it an institutional appointment. Kuti will not necessarily sit on the monetary policy council. He had held the position as Executive Director for Monetary Policy, Financial Analysis and Statistics.

  • Has previously been responsible for the preparation of monetary policy strategy decisions, initially as Director, and, from 2021, as Executive Director.
