Middle East jet/kero exports have been on a sharp decline since June due to extensive refinery maintenance in the region according to Vortexa.
- Expectations in the market are that the 817kbd Ruwais refinery will be on a partial planned maintenance mid-January – mid-February 2024, potentially sustaining the problem of exceptionally low loadings expected from the region, though signs of supply growth are returning.
- Saudi Arabia's SATORP refinery was under maintenance for all of October while Kuwait's Al-Zour refinery faced several unplanned incidents, crimping its supplies of refined products. Meanwhile, Oman’s Duqm refinery is ramping up.
