Over 30 MPs from the ruling Palang Pracharath Party (PRP) and other parties are expected to defect to Deputy Prime Minister Anutin's Bhumjaithai Party ahead of the next general election, the Bangkok Post reports.
- The move could allow Bhumjaithai to reach its goal of winning 120 seats in the 500-MP parliament. In the latest NIDA opinion poll, just 2.32% of respondents picked Bhumjaithai as their party of choice, while 24.00% said they had no favourite party.
