ICE will open parallel natural gas market in London to cope with potential disruptions by the EU’s cap on natural gas prices, it said.
- ICE will offer TTF futures and options on the ICE Futures Exchange from 20 Feb, just after the EU’s gas price cap will come into place on 15 Feb.
- The London market will not be subject to the price cap.
- “ICE’s purpose is to create markets to allow our customers to manage their risk and we have a duty to our customers to provide solutions to the problems they face,” Trabue Bland, ICE’s senior vice president for futures exchanges, said.
