With the first Fed speakers of the year coming across the wires, here's our preliminary FOMC Hawk-Dove Spectrum for the Jan 31-Feb 1 FOMC.

  • The 2023 regional bank president voters are Minn's Kashkari, Philly's Harker, Chicago's Goolsbee (taking over from the retiring Evans) and Dallas's Logan.
  • Two of those (Goolsbee and Logan) are largely unknown quantities in terms of monetary policy leanings but we assume for now their preferences are close to the center of the Committee.
  • Note KC's George retires this month and no replacement has yet been announced (though KC doesn't vote again until 2025).
