The fire at ExxonMobil’s 240kbpd Port-Jerome Gravenchon refinery was extinguished on Monday evening, a company spokesperson said, but the impact of the fire has not been determined yet.
- "It's too early to estimate the fire's impact on the refinery's production and we remain committed to meeting our customer needs”, the spokesperson said.
- One of the refinery’s two distillation towers is offline because of the fire.
- The fire started around 03:30PM CET on 11 March.
- The refinery has fulfilled all contractual fuel requirements so far by using existing stockpiles according to the company.
