News wires report that lawmaker Amir Uskara told reporters that parliament's financial commission has tapped Filianingsih Hendarta to replace Dody Budi Waluyo as Bank Indonesia's Deputy Governor.

• Hendarta heads the central bank's Payment System Policy Department. During her fit and proper test, she noted that "from the monetary side, interest rate policies that are pro-stability need to be maintained."
• Hendarta's appointment needs to be confirmed at a plenary session. The approval of parliament would pave the way for her to succeed Waluyo once he retires in April.
