Exxon Mobil’s 252kbpd Joliet refinery shut down the 275kbpd CDU and 50kbpd cat reformer on 6 April, according to WoodMac, as the refinery is undergoing seasonal maintenance as of early April.
- The 12kbpd alkylation unit was shut 3 April, the 95kbpd FCC was shut on 1 April and decreased activity began at the 56kbpd coker on 1 April according to WoodMac.
- The centerpiece of the turnaround will be the FCC that is a major supplier of gasoline for the Midwest, sources told Bloomberg.
- Planned maintenance is scheduled to last 6-7 weeks.
