The latest EU ETS CAP3 EU auction cleared at €69.85/ton CO2e, down from €70.82/ton CO2e in the previous auction according to EEX.

• EUA DEC 24 down 0.7% at 71.4 EUR/MT
• The cover ratio was at 1.67, below the five-year minimum for this time of the year.
• There was a total of 20 bids with 13 successful bidders.
• The mean price was at €70.04/MWh and the median price at €69.54/MWh.
• EU ETS Dec24 is pulling back today with milder temperatures in Europe suggesting less demand for fossil-fuel burn in the power sector.
