The LNG vessel leaving the Egyptian Idku plant is signalling Pakistan’s Port Qasim as a destination, Kpler ship-tracking data showed, while winter LNG exports from the country typically head to Turkey and Europe.

  • The Adam LNG vessel departed the Idku LNG plant late Wednesday with a full load, after arriving for loading on Tuesday.
  • Egypt has exported two LNG cargoes since the start of October, one full cargo on 6 October and one partial-laden cargo on 12 October.
  • Since then, Egypt was unable to ship any further cargoes due to curtailed gas pipeline supplies from Israel and unseasonably high demand due to warm weather.
  • Israel resumed production out of its 10bcm/year Tamar field early last week, and natural gas pipeline flows to Egypt resumed at normal rates of 800mcm/d early this week.
