EURUSD is in consolidation mode. A bearish threat remains present and last Wednesday’s steep sell-off reinforces current conditions. The pair has recently breached the 50-day EMA, strengthening a bear theme. Scope is seen for a move towards 1.1416, a Fibonacci retracement. Clearance of this level would expose 1.1325, the Jun 24 low and a key medium-term support. Initial firm resistance to watch is 1.1557, the 50-day EMA.
