SK Hynix expects its next-generation HBM4 memory to address rising demand for high-bandwidth, power-efficient solutions required by AI and data centre customers. The market is expanding rapidly, Alibaba's announced plan to raise $3.2bn by way of a senior unsecured convertible is going to be invested mostly (c. 80%) in cloud infrastructure, which includes scaling up data centres, and upgrading technology. Positive for credit.

July NZ card transactions rose 0.6% m/m, the highest monthly increase this year, but the annual rate is still down 1.0%.
