U.S. tariffs are likely to reduce European Union economic growth by "somewhere between" 0.1 and 0.3 percentage points, Economy Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis said after the release of the European Commission’s Autumn Economic Forecasts on Monday.
"Obviously, there are further risks of global trade fragmentation," the commissioner said, noting the possible "reshuffling of trade flows", such as the diversion of Chinese exports from the U.S. to the EU. (See INTERVIEW: Eurozone Risks Tilt To Downside - ECB's Stournaras)
