MNI BRIEF: RBNZ Appoints Riksbank's Breman As Governor

Finance Minister Nicola Willis has appointed Anna Breman as Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, the bank said Wednesday.

Breman, currently first deputy governor at Sveriges Riksbank, will begin a five-year term on Dec. 1. Her appointment follows the sudden departure of former Governor Adrian Orr in March. (See MNI: RBNZ Leadership Woes Present Reform Opportunity)
