
Mexico's annual INPC inflation was 4.98% in June, the Mexican National Institute of Statistics and Geography said Tuesday, above the 4.87% consensus forecast, and up from 4.69% in May.
Prices dipped 0.38% on a monthly basis. Core inflation was 4.13%, below the 4.21% consensus.
"Within the non-core index, on a monthly basis, the prices of agricultural products increased by 1.54%, and those of energy and government-authorized tariffs by 0.26%," INEGI said. (See MNI INTERVIEW: Banxico Needs Better Data For More Cuts-Sanchez)
