  • This morning’s DMP data will be closely watched by the MPC for a number of reasons. Most important will continue to be the single month measures as expectations evolve given the backdrop in the Middle East.
  • We normally pay most attention to own price expectations, wage expectations and employment expectations. The latter has fallen down in importance, in our view, but all of these factors will continue to be watched, but CPI expectations will also be watched and we also expect the additional question that was asked in April regarding how the recent energy shock will affect businesses over the next 12 months to be asked again.
