- Stocks are holding modest gains ahead midday, recovering from a round of midmorning selling Friday.
- Currently, the DJIA trades up 5.00 points (-0.01%) at 49447.82, S&P E-Minis Future up 6.5 points (0.09%) at 6988.5, Nasdaq up 27.6 points (0.1%) at 23557.18.
- A mix of Industrials, Financials and Technology sector shares led advances in the first half: GE Vernova +7.23%, Quanta Services +7.13%, Super Micro Computer +6.82%, Micron Technology +5.40%, Qnity Electronics +5.33%, Synchrony Financial +4.11%, PNC Financial Services +3.42% and Lam Research Corp +3.17%.
- Conversely, Materials and Utilities sector shares held weaker in the first half: Amcor -5.87%, Albemarle -5.84%, Mosaic Co -3.83%, Freeport-McMoRan -2.33% and Smurfit WestRock -1.85% weighed on the Materials sector as Gold trades weaker (-27.13 at 4589.02).
- Meanwhile, Constellation Energy -9.37%, Vistra Corp -5.86%, NRG Energy -2.06% and PG&E -1.68% weighed on the Utilities sector.
- Expected after today's close: Interactive Brokers, Netflix Inc and United Airlines Holdings.
