OUTLOOK: Price Signal Summary - Bear Cycle In Bunds Intact

- In the FI space, a short-term bear cycle in Bund futures remains intact and the contract is trading closer to its recent lows. Last week’s sharp pullback saw the contract trade through the 50-day EMA, currently at 126.15, reinforcing a bear theme. The break signals scope for 124.88, the Jun 10 and 11 low and a key S/T support. Initial firm resistance is seen at 126.29, the 20-day EMA.
- A bear theme in Gilt futures remains intact and the contract is trading closer to its recent lows. Last Wednesday’s move lower resulted in a break of key support at 87.28, the Jun 8 low. This suggests scope for a deeper retracement and sights are on 86.95 next, the 61.8% retracement of the May 15 - Jun 25 bull leg. Initial firm resistance to watch is 89.12, the Jul 6 high.
