RATINGS: Moody's Defers On Italy Rating
Moody's announces the completion of a periodic review of Italy's sovereign rating (current rating: Baa2; Outlook Stable) but "does not announce a credit rating action and is not an indication of whether or not a credit rating action is likely in the near future" (via Bloomberg). As we noted earlier today, "against a backdrop of continued energy price rises and global bond market pressure, Moody's may be hesitant to make any changes given Italy's high debt burden."
