Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posts on X regarding Iran's missile strike that hit a hospital in southern Israel earlier this morning. State-run IRNA claimed that the strike was targeting the “command and intelligence (IDF C4i) headquarters” and an army intelligence camp in the Gav-Yam Technology Park, located close to the Soroka Medical Centre.
- Araghchi: "Earlier today, our powerful Armed Forces accurately eliminated an Israeli Military Command, Control & Intelligence HQ and another vital target. The blast wave caused superficial damage to a small section of the nearby, and largely evacuated, Soroka Military Hospital. [...] We call on Israelis to heed our evacuation orders before strikes and to avoid proximity to military and intelligence sites. Our powerful Armed Forces will continue to pummel the criminals who target our people until they cease and pay for their criminal aggression against our nation."
- Speaking at the medical centre earlier, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israeli partnership with the US is "incredible", and that he holds calls with President Donald Trump "almost every day". Netanyahu: "I think his resolve, his determination, and his clarity, when he says Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, and for that to take place, Iran cannot enrich uranium. He gave them the chance to do it through negotiations, they strung him along. You don't string along Donald Trump."
- Reporters question Netanyahu on possible US involvement, PM replies "It's a decision for the president to make but they're already helping a lot".
