US STOCKS: Midday Equities Roundup: Paring Gains, IT Outperforming

Stock indexes hold mixed levels Monday, the tech-heavy Nasdaq outperforming weaker DJIA at midday. At the moment, the DJIA trades -0.2%, SPX emini +0.4%, the Nasdaq +0.8%.
IT and Communication Services sector shares led advances by midday, semiconductor makers buoyed the tech sector: Marvell Technology +5.45%, Teradyne +5.3%, Micron +5.2%.
Media and entertainment shares buoyed the Communication Sector with Alphabet +2.5% and Fox Corp gaining 2.25%. Of note, wires reported a federal judge temporarily paused the Paramount-Warner Bros merger as litigants argue the merger would violate federal antitrust law.
Leading declines: Carvana trades -4.3% as investors question it's ability to sustain earnings momentum, Chipotle -4.0% amid spreading concerns over the Cyclospora outbreak, UPS -3.35% over competition with Amazon delivery.
The latest round of earnings expected from financials/banks tomorrow: Bank earnings Charles Schwab, Synchrony Financial, Equifax Inc, KeyCorp, MSCI Inc, Interactive Brokers Group, Capital One Financial Corp. Non-financials reporting: DR Horton, Halliburton, Danaher, Marsh & McLennan, Northrop Grumman, Hasbro, 3M Co, General Motors, Vicor Corp, Enovix Corp and EQT Corp.
PIPELINE: Corporate Bond Update, US Bancorp, Netflix, Truist Launched
